Love my new washer!! It replaced a 4-year old front-loading Bosch that gave me nothing but trouble. One thing I'm curious about, and can't find mentioned anywhere in the manual. Every cycle I run, regardless of the wash temperature, it seems like the buy watches online RINSE is always WARM. Is this correct? For example, I washed a thin cotton quilt yesterday using cold water, but when I removed it from the washer, the fabric was definitely warm. Also, what is the difference between choosing COLD or TAP COLD for the wash temperature?

Hi, Robert - this is Cindy from GE and I'm so glad to hear that you love your new washer - the Harmony is one of our top models! Your washer has a water temperature management system that has a cold temperature target of 80 degrees. So, especially at this time of year, hot water may be added so that the temperature of the cold water rinse is 80 degrees. That may be why your clothes feel warm coming out of the washer.
As to cold versus tap water cold, the cold temperature is approximately 80 degrees while the tap water cold feature uses your household tap water temperature for a cold wash. This can provide energy savings by reducing the amount of hot water used in your wash. But at this time of year, because the incoming water temperature is so cold, I wouldn't recommend the tap cold setting, as the water may be too cold to dissolve the detergent.
Thanks again for visiting our Community and enjoy your new washer!
